Today's guest is Erick Santos, MD, an Orthopedic Surgeon who practices in South Texas. He was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
He attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore for undergrad in Biomedical Engineering and then went onto a Master's degree, Ph.D. and MD at the University of Pennsylvania. He served in the US Air Force 5 years active duty as a flight surgeon, then went in to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
After residency he went into solo practice in South Texas interrupted by almost 3 years as a hospital employee. He is continually searching for that elusive "life-work" balance.
