Success: Creating 10 Axioms to Serving Leadership

I’m thrilled to be joined by Orthopaedic Surgeon and Colonel (retired US army) James Ficke, M.D., Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and director of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also orthopedist-in-chief of The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

After more than 30-years of military service, he is highly respected as an academic leader. He is an expert on the treatment of complex foot and ankle patients, lower extremity trauma patients, and amputees.

In today’s conversation, we discuss:

 Dr. Ficke’s 10 Axioms for Success
 The power of persistence
 Why finishing in 2nd place is OK
 How learning to say NO is the key to finding balance
 And the first person you must learn to lead…yourself
