Meet Sarah
Sarah Webber MD, ACC is an academic pediatrician, certified coach, leader, researcher, writer and lover of the outdoors. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine and is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. As Director of Well-being for the Department of Pediatrics since 2018 she has a deep understanding of the confluence of system and personal factors that contribute to clinician well-being. She is also editor of the first pediatrician well-being textbook: Understanding and Cultivating Well-being for the Pediatrician and has authored several peer-reviewed research manuscripts investigating clinician well-being and gender equity in medicine.
She started developing skills to be an effective coach in 2017 through a year long mindfulness facilitation training. It was here that she learned the value of deep listening and holding space for others’ experiences. In 2022 she enrolled in a coach training program and in 2023 became a Master Certified Physician Development Coach through the Physician Coaching Institute. She also has training and experience in integrating Internal Family Systems into her coaching.
Sarah is mom to three human kids and a lab puppy, married, and has many personal interests and hobbies including gardening and pottery.
