How did you get started?
I started with small things like going back to my high school to talk to junior classes about medicine; it then expanded into doing workshops at the medical school and then online mentoring.
How does this activity impact your mental, physical, and / or emotional well-being?
It helps me feel like I’m doing something useful to society and paying it forward.
How does this activity bring wellness to your life when other activities have not?
Teaching is important to me. It gives me a sense of being connected to the greater community and paving the future of orthopaedic surgeons so that those who come after me can hopefully avoid making the same mistakes and pitfalls.
