Jeff Letter – December 2021

12/30/2021 Jeffrey Smith, MD, FACS, PCC

Hi Community,

During the holiday season, I reflect on my life and career in a more spiritual way (not necessarily just religious) than I do during other times.

How do you reflect during the holidays? What questions do you ask yourself?

  • What did I accomplish this year?
  • What goals are really important to me? What is the big picture?
  • What goals align with my values and beliefs? What service do I provide to those around me?
  • How can I sustain myself through professional and personal challenges?

This type of reflection can lead to stronger practices and healthy mental, emotional, and spiritual habits. But finding time to decompress and recharge is important too.

As we continue to navigate a sometimes stressful holiday season, what would it look like if you took time for a recharge? What do you need? How can you make it happen?

Have a happy holiday season.
