Pump the brakes on your week and take 10 minutes to make your life as a surgeon just a little better…
Jeff welcomes to the mini-podcast Professor at The University of New Mexico (UNM) and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation, Dr. Bob Schenck.
As surgeons, it’s important to consider the work culture of your practice. Look at the culture of the practice you’re in. Do you like what you see?
Culture changes are very slow, so it’s important to look for a work culture that you like when considering a practice to join. You can’t expect to make significant changes to your workplace culture overnight.
After listening to the conversation with Bob about evaluating work culture, consider some of these questions.
- Question 1 – What do you like about where you (would) work and the people you (would) work with?
- Question 2 – How can you lead or support culture change in a positive way?
- Question 3 – How can you find a work culture where you would like to work?
Most importantly, PRACTICE positive work culture awareness!
