Dear Community,
In March, I stepped away from patient care and coaching calls for a few weeks to focus on self-care—creating space for reflection and inner work.
I recently shared that I was on a journey from achievement to better health at a yoga ashram in India. It was everything I had hoped for, and I’ll share more soon.
The truth is, we don’t have to travel to India to create more sustainability in our lives—across our roles, relationships, and the passions that matter most. All it requires is intentional reflection and awareness of what we want, and how to move toward it.
Fortunately, we have several upcoming opportunities to support that work:
April 23 — The 8 PRACTICEs Group Learning Series
We launch The 8 PRACTICEs of Highly Successful Surgeons Series, a group learning experience with host Jeffrey Smith, MD, FACS, PCC, that will highlight each PRACTICE and apply them in a high-performance cycle of reflection, goal setting, and intentional change.
April 30 — Book Club: Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less
Muyibat Adelani, MD, will lead an engaging book club discussion on Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, providing a practical framework for prioritization in the face of constant demands.
May 6 — Virtual Live Podcast Recording – Physician Needs Too!
Join a live virtual podcast recording and discussion where we will discuss how we can become more genuine, compassionate, and desirable to be around by listening to our needs with my guest, physician coach, Ken Dodge, MD.
June 11 — Physician Mental Fitness Session
SurgeonMasters coaches Susan Wilson, MD, and Charity Hix, MD, will lead an interactive group coaching session on mental fitness, with practical tools to strengthen resilience, focus, and well-being.
Join us for one (or all) of these opportunities and learn how to create better alignment in your personal and professional lives.
